How Can I Tell if I Have a Water or Sewer Leak Under My Slab?
– Presence of water or damp spots on floor
– Sound of rushing water underneath floor
– Sudden increase in water bill
– Heaving damage to foundation or domed (raised) sections of flooring
Slab Leak Repair
If a leak is detected during testing, ACME Leak Detection uses two different methods to fix it.
Tunneling: This is the least invasive method in fixing leaks beneath the slab foundation. Tunnels are dug under the slab, large enough that a plumber can crawl in them and fix the broken pipe. Digging the tunnel is the difficult and time consuming part, but once we get to the leak, the process is usually fairly fast.
Digging Up the Slab: Using this method means jack hammering through the foundation so that the repair can be made. This can make a mess of your home, but it is sometimes the only way to get to the leak.
